What information do you collect, how, and for what purpose?

Information you provide directly to me:

• When you purchase Anabelle Colon Jewelry, I collect your name, address and email address. I need this information to generate an invoice, process the payment, arrange for delivery, and notify you of the transaction’s details. Please note that I do not store credit/debit card numbers.

• When you subscribe to receive the newsletter, I collect your email address and name to send you emails about new products, discounts and other updates. 

• When you send me an inquiry via email or by filling out the contact form, I record your name, email address and the information you choose to share with me in your message. I use this information to send you a response.

• When you post on the Site, I collect the information you provide, including any personal information. For example, when you interact with other users on the Site by posting a review, a comment on a blog post or other materials. I may use customers reviews and blog comments as marketing material. If you choose to submit content to any public area of the Site, such content will be considered “public" and anyone with access to the Site may use it.

Information that is automatically collected (and not collected):

I have disabled the Activity Log in the Site, to not collect or see visitors’ IP addresses, time zones, browsers information or other personal data. I have also disabled Squarespace Analytics and Performance cookies, and refrained from using Google Analytics, so that this Site doesn't place non-essential cookies or other electronic files that collect personal information on visitors’ browsers.

Note that the Site incorporates the services of Third Parties: Squarespace for hosting, and Shopify for processing the jewelry sales. These parties automatically collect some information. (Find more details about third parties and cookies below.)

Why do you process my information?

• You have consented to the use of your personal information in a particular way.

• I need your personal information to provide you with services and products requested by you, or to respond to your inquiries.

What about THIRD- PARTY sites, social media platforms and service providers?

The Site may contain links to other websites and other websites may link to Anabelle Colon Jewelry. I don't endorse or make any representations about Third-Party websites or social media platforms and their privacy policies. Please get acquainted with the privacy practices of the websites and applications that you interact with.

The Site also contains links and interactive features with various social media platforms. If you already use these platforms, their cookies may be set on your device when using the Site.

The Site incorporates the services of Third Parties: Squarespace for hosting, and Shopify and PayPal for processing the jewelry sales. These parties may use cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and other technologies to automatically collect information. For example, the Site uses font files from Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts. To properly display the Site to you, servers where the font files are stored may receive personal information about you, including information about your browser, network, or device; and your IP address.

SQUARESPACE

The Site is hosted on Squarespace. They provide us with the online platform that allows us to present our jewelry to you. Your data is stored through Squarespace’s data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. For more insight, please read the Squarespace Terms of Service and Privacy Statement.

SHOPIFY

Shopify Inc. software, more specifically their ‘Buy Button’, enables me to process your orders and accept online payments. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). PAYPAL

You can choose to pay for your order using PayPal's online invoicing. In this case, you will receive an email with a PayPal invoice, in order to complete the payment on their website. 

This option allows you to use PayPal as a payment processor instead of Shopify, whether or not you have a PayPal account. PayPal has developed this Privacy Statement to explain how they may collect, retain, process, share and transfer your Personal Data when you visit their Sites or use their Services. 

What are cookies anyways?

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, which are small files or pieces of text that download to a device when a visitor accesses a website or app. 

Functional and required cookies are always used, which allow Squarespace, the hosting platform, to securely serve this website to you. As mentioned above, Squarespace Analytics and Performance Cookies have been disabled. 

Shopify, provides the buy button and cart functionality to the Site. They use cookies to track visits to the webpage and provide key functionality for processing orders and collecting payments. The device information that Shopify collects (in particular, your IP address), helps them screen for potential risk and fraud.

Generally, your browser will offer you the choice to accept, refuse or delete cookies at all times, or those from providers that website owners use ("third party cookies"), or those from specific websites. What rights do I have over my information?

You have the right to access personal information I hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please use the contact form to send me a message.

I am only processing your information in order to fulfill contracts I might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.  

Where is my data stored? (Data Transfers) 

All personal information collected via or by Anabelle Colon Jewelry may be stored anywhere in the world, including but not limited to, in the United States, in the cloud, on our servers, on the servers of our affiliates or the servers of our service providers. By providing information to Anabelle Colon Jewelry, you consent to the storage of your personal information in these locations.

For how long will you keep my data? 

When you place an order through the Site, send me an inquiry, or subscribe to the newsletter, I will maintain your information for my records unless and until you ask me to delete this information.

Do you share my information? 

• I share personal information with providers that perform services on behalf of Anabelle Colon Jewelry. For example, hosting the site, processing the payments, delivering your jewelry.

• I will disclose your personal information if it is necessary to comply with the law, protect our or others’ rights, property or interests or prevent fraud or abuse of Anabelle Colon Jewelry. I may also disclose your personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities.

Is my information secure with you? 

I take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Unfortunately, the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure, and therefore I cannot accept liability for unintentional disclosure.

What about Do Not Track? 

Please note that this Site does not respond to or honor Do Not Track signals sent by web browsers.

Do you collect Children’s personal information? 

The Site is not intended for the use of children, and I do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under the age of 18. If you learn that your child has provided personal information though this Site without your consent, you may alert me using the contact form. I will promptly take steps to delete such information.

I will update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, business operations or any other reason I consider necessary or appropriate
